Grape Culture is my favorite place to buy wine on Long Island. Why? Although it's a small store, their selection is great, with everything from first growths to a Long Island wine section. The atmosphere is great! It's friendly but elegant, and there's usually jazz or swing music playing. The staff knows a lot about wine, but aren't snobs--I've seen them go out of their way to make even first-time buyers feel comfortable. The employees even remember my name, and give me a heads up when there's an especially good value or something special in stock, like Bogle Phantom. They have wine tastings on the weekends (last time I was there they were doing a Jamesport tasting). They also have coupons right on their website. Grape Culture is a really nice, fun place to shop, and I've made some good friends there.

I have eclectic tastes in wine. I can enjoy anything from boxed - to brilliant. Pritti always knows the next Chardonnay I should try - and she's never steered me wrong! Very accomodating store - and very nicely renovated.
